Alex Patchett-Joyce conservator, restorer, project manager
This website explains who I am and the conserving, restoring and project managing skills I offer. You will find examples of the specialist services I offer and you can view some of my past conservation projects. I hope you find it interesting.
I am delighted to announce that I am the latest
recipient of the Nigel Williams Prize awarded by the Institute of Conservation for the best conservation / restoration of an object or project in ceramics, glass or a related material. It is a great privilege and honour and I thank everyone who was involved with my prize-winning Tyrolean stove project.
I obtained an MA in Conservation and Post Graduate Diploma from West Dean College following a long career in marketing, project management and business in the City of London. This has greatly influenced the way I work and consequently the services I offer as a conservator and restorer have a strong project management element.
My workshop was set up in 2004 to undertake the restoration and conservation of earthenware, porcelain, terracotta, glass, stone, marble and enamels.
