project management
Large architectural projects are undertaken on site or in the purpose built workshop which has monitored security. There is ample parking and ramped access with large double doors.
An important recent project undertaken at the workshop - for which I won the Nigel Williams Prize in October 2006 - was the project management, reconstruction, conservation and restoration of an early 17th century Tyrolean stove from over 200 individual tin-glazed earthenware polychrome ceramic tiles and created facsimile tiles. The finished stove was approximately 3 metres high and one metre square at its base.
Freelance work as a Project Conservator is also undertaken, for example, to the National Trust, Historic Royal Palaces, for Heritage Lottery Fund bids
and private clients. Work includes conservation of objects and project managing film crews during location filming at important Houses so as to protect historic collections and interiors.
I collaborate with a pool of highly skilled craftsman, and professional conservators and restorers for complex multi media objects or large projects.
